You were reading
as I crept past,
your steering wheel
so still.

You were curious
peering down,
as I passed
below.

Your red lights blinked
erratically,
as I followed
silently.

Your mute mirror
caught my eye,
with an awkward
glance.

Your blue lights
flashed up ahead,
I slowed,
wondered,
is someone
dead?
